Routines & Meals
We have four residential houses, or units as we call them. The units we have are Colman, Nelson, Fry and Lind.
On admission, every boy will be allocated to one of these units.
A morning in residence

07:30 - Your unit staff will come and wake you up.

07:35 - 08:00 - It is time to get up, wash yourself and get dressed for school.

08:00 - 08:30 - Once you are ready, it is time for breakfast and medication (for those that require it).

08:30 - 08:55 - Time to go and tidy your rooms, before relaxing in the unit until it is time to walk with the staff down to your classroom.
An evening in residence

15:00 - 15:05 - Finish school and arrive in residence.

15:05 - 15:15 - Get changed into play clothes, lay your clean clothes out for tomorrow, and put your dirty clothes into the washing basket.

15:15 - 15:45 - Time to have a snack and then sit together to have our daily check in.

15:45 - You can come and visit the EARNIE shop if you would like to.

16:00 - Everyone gathers at the Senior desk and chooses a structured activity.

16:00 - 17:00 - Structured learning activity

17:00 - 17:45 - Time to head back to the dining room, wash our hands and have dinner.

17:45 - Reading to or a shared story with staff.

18:00 - Back together at the Senior desk to choose your free choice activity.

18:00 - 19:00 - Free choice activity.

19:00 - 20:00 - Time to start our evening settle routine. You can have a bath or a shower, make a phone call home, and then spend some time watching a film or playing a game, before taking your medication (for those that require it).

20:00 - 20:15 -Time to clean your teeth, get comfy in your bed and have a bedtime story if you would like one.
Meals
This is a sample of the types of meals we will serve up for the boy's over a school day.

The kitchen staff will also prepare special menus to celebrate national/international days, for example see the menu for World Book Day. Our kitchen staff will always cater for any specific dietary needs including allergies which will be discussed with parents & carers during the admission process..
